Description of Programme |
Fun for Pre-school student Learning Golf
Swing Skills at Golf Driving Range This is one-off programme conducted in golf driving range starting with golf introduction and emphasis on golf safety rules. The programme is to allow the students to acquire the golf terminology and equipment's names: putting; putter; address position; back-swing; forward-swing; finish-swing, golf grip and clubhead. We incorporated the fundamental knowledge and special skills of the golf swing technique through hands-on experience. Students will learn the correct ways to hold the golf club, the golf posture and the position of the golf ball for golf swing skills. The correct body-movement-patterns of an efficient golf swing technique are facilitated by low intensity static and dynamic physical drills practicum. The hands-on experience learning will encourage each student to utilize their gross motor, visual perception and cognitive skills. Our teaching methodology is by direct, indirect and experiential learning to benefit each student of auditory, visual and kinesthetic modes of learning. The contents of the learning will be broken down clinically for easy learning and retention. Students will learn and play within their physical and athletic ability. The golf coach will provide assistance, supervision, guidance, motivation, feedback, eliciting performance and enhancing retention of the golf swing knowledge for the students. The benefit of this programme is to have a active learning, fun, challenging and exciting session for students to hit and fly the golf ball to an intended target. We will also be identifying student’s talent to take up regular programme for future golf development. |
