The Training Programme
This programme is a regular weekly one-hour junior golfer group lesson conducted at golf driving range. The programme is to allow the junior golfer to acquire the correct fundamental knowledge, skills and attitude of the golf swing technique through hands-on experience.

Our teaching methodology is by direct, indirect, demonstration and experiential learning to benefit each junior golfer of auditory, visual and kinesthetic modes of learning. The contents of the learning will be broken down clinically for easy learning. We will provide variety of challenging activities and approaches for active learning and retention. The golf coach will be present to teach, motivate and impart the golf swing technique to the junior golfer.

Junior golfer will learn: to follow golf safety rules; discipline during lesson; aerobic skills and abilities to pattern all the golf swing technique. The lessons required junior golfer to perform low intensity of physical body movements and patterning the golf swing technique with performance outcome. The hands-on learning will encourage each junior golfer to utilize their gross motor, visual perception and cognitive skills. The basic mental and motivation skills for the golf technique will also be incorporated during the lessons. Junior golfer will learn and play within their physical and athletic ability. We will also be eliciting performance and enhancing retention.

The life skills include but not limited to: awareness; self-esteem; assertiveness, coping with stress; coping with emotion; and social effective communication will be integrated in the teaching process for adaptive of positive behaviours. This is to promote a holistic learning.

The Learning Outcome
The junior golfer learning outcome of this programme is: able to understand the importance of golf safety rules; perform golf warm-up exercises diligently; attain the aerobic capacity; develop the physical and mental skills; patterning the correct golf technique in low intensity; and able to explain and demonstrate each golf technique's application. Junior golfer grows at different rates and their progress will varies.

The beginner Junior golfer will be encouraged to participate in golf PC competition when they achieved the golf proficiency.

Lesson 1 The Golf Safety and Lesson Rules

This lesson teaches the importance of the golf safety and lesson rules required learning. It is the imperative knowledge prior to golf learning skills.

1. Student learns the importance of safety lines marked on the floor of the range.
2. Student learns the permitted area allowed at the range for their golf swing practices.

5. Student learns the disciplines requirement during lessons.
6. Student learns to drink water for refreshment, no foods to be consumed during golf lesson.
7. Student learns basic social skills of communications with their golf coach and classmates.

Lesson 2. The Golf Swing Static and Dynamic Exercises

This lesson teaches how to perform the fundamental aerobic skills. The goal is to condition the body for patterning and adapting the golf swing technique performance.

1. Student learns the importance of warming up exercises for golf-specific skills.
2. Student learns to perform their low intensity dynamic swing drills diligently to facilitate their golf swing technique performance.
3. Student learns to adapt the correct postural stability for the golf swing technique.
4. Student learns to adapt the correct dynamic postural balance for golf swing technique performance.
5. Student learns to adapt the correct shoulders rotation for the golf swing technique.
6. Student learns to adapt the correct body movement patterns for golf swing technique.
7. Student learns the body agility, flexibility and mobility for the dynamic golf swing action.

Mental Skill and Active Learning:
1. Student learns to formulate their self-concept of their body movement patterns for a golf swing action.
2. Student learns to remember the warming up exercise repetitions for active learning.




Lesson 3. The Golf Swing Technique Posture

This lesson teaches how to perform the preliminary movement required for all golf swing technique performance. The golf swing technique posture is accounts to 80 percent of the technique performance efficiency.

2. Student learns to adapt the correct feet standing position.

5. Student learns to adapt the correct body weight distribution on the feet at 'Address Position'.
6. Student learns how to hold the club correctly with the correct fingers tension.
7. Student learns to adapt the correct position of the arms, golf clubface and golf ball at 'Address Position'.

Mental Skill and Active Learning:
1. Student learns the important skills of relaxation and concentration for a golf swing technique performance.
2. Student learns to formulate their self-concept of a golf swing technique posture.
3. Student learns to describe their physical set-up of a golf posture.




Lesson 4. The Golf Arm-Swing Technique (low intensity)

This lesson teaches the arms and golf club swinging movements to hit to golf ball efficiently. It is the horizontal transfer learning skill for the golf chipping, pitching and sandbunker technique performance.

4. Student learns how to rotate the shoulders correctly to facilitate the golf club swing action.

Lesson 5. The Golf Iron Full-Swing Technique (low intensity)

This lesson teaches how to perform the golf iron full-swing technique within a student physical and athletic ability. It is the horizontal transfer learning skill for the golf fairway-wood and driver technique performance. The goal is the ability to propel a golf ball accurately to various distance targets. This is a proficient golf swing skill.

Lesson 6. The Golf Driver Swing Technique (low intensity)

This lesson teaches how to hit the golf ball to farthest distance onto the fairway accurately within a student physical and athletic ability. The golf ball in played on a tee.

7. Student learns to adapt the dynamic golf swing rhythm and timing for the driver swing technique.

Lesson 7. The Golf Putting Swing Technique

This lesson teaches how to hit the golf ball into the hole efficiently. It is the most challenging skill as every putting green on the golf course is uniquely designed. The goal is to get the golf ball into the hole with least number of putts.

3. Student learns how to hold the putter correctly for the golf putting technique.
4. Student learns the correct golf ball and putter clubface positions for the golf putting technique.
5. Student learns the single stroke pendulum swing movement.
6. Student learns to adapt the correct backswing (take away), downswing and follow through of an efficient putting stroke.
8. Student learns how to execute short putts accurately.

Mental Skill and Active learning:
1. Student learns the visual-perception skill of the golf ball alignment to the hole.
2. Student learns importance of practice swings before performing the golf putting technique performance.
3. Student learns to play line and ladder drills for active learning.
4. Student learns to play '2-putt game' for active learning.




Lesson 8. The Golf Chipping and Pitching Swing Technique

This lesson teaches how to hit the golf ball toward the hole on the putting green. The ball is played outside the putting green. The performance outcome is to get the golf ball to stop near the hole on the putting green.

5. Student learns the correct golf ball position for optimum impact by the clubface.
6. Student learns the correct lower and upper body movement for the golf chipping and pitching technique.
7. Student learns to adapt the correct hands and arms movement for the golf chipping and pitching technique.
8. Student learns to adapt the correct follow-through swing action for an accurate golf shot performance.

Mental Skills and Active Learning:
1. Student learns the goal setting for the correct golf chipping and pitching shot performances.
2. Student learns the visual perception skill of body alignment by using a golf club lay on the grass.
3. Student learns to repeat their good golf chipping and pitching shot performances for active learning.
4. Student plays line chipping and pitching games for active learning.




Lesson 9. The Golf Greenside Sandbunker Technique

The lesson teaches how to hit the golf ball in the greenside sandbunker . The golf ball is played on the sand. The goal is get the golf ball out of the sanbunker in one swing attempt.

4. Student learns the vital golf ball position at ? 'Address Position'.
5. Student learns where is 'the point of impact on the sand' behind the golf ball for the clubface to strike?
6. Student learns the correct arms and hands dynamic swing action.
7. Student learns the correct follow-through swing action.

Mental Skills and Active Learning:
1. Student learns the goal setting for the correct golf sandbunker swing technique performance.
2. Student learns the visual perception skill of body alignment in the sandbunker.
3. Student learns to repeat their good golf sandbunker performance for active learning.
4. Student plays line drill games for active learning.
5. Student learns to assess their golf shot performance for active learning.

Junior Golf Beginner Programme 1 regular lessons require repetition of golf swing knowledge, skill and attitude instructions. We provide constant guidance, supervision, feedback and opportunity for the junior golfer to perform their golf swing technique as competence as they should be. Junior golfer are to perform all the golf swing skills within their physical and athlete ability.

Adult may takes many months to master all the golf swing technique. Our primary goal is assisting the junior golfer to achieve the sense of accomplishment of the golf technique's competency. The distance of the golf ball flight performance is a secondary goal base on the individual physical and athletic ability performance.

There will be golf swing competency assessment on junior golfer's individual attitude and aptitude during the lessons. The performance progress will be feedback to parents.

Terms and Conditions

Programme:

Junior Golf Beginner Programme 1.
Coaching:
Junior group and one-to-one coaching.
Lesson frequency:
One (1) hour weekly regular lesson.
Students per class:
Four (4) students, maximum five (5) students per coach at the range.
Programme's duration:
12 to 24 months to for Golf Proficiency Certificate (PC) Level.
Certification to
achieved:
Student needs to pass the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) Proficiency Certificate (PC) for PC Golf Competition.

Venue:


Executive Golf Course and Diving Range.

Equipment and Practice range golf balls

Equipment for lesson:


A #7 iron and putter golf clubs is provided for the first 8 lessons only. Student is required to purchase their golf
equipment. Student is required to wear golf glove for their lessons.
Practice range golf balls:

Student is required to purchase the practice range golf balls for their golf swing technique practices.
The purchase is by Cash Card from the ball dispenser machine.

The Requirements by Asian Golf Centre, Golf Course Facility Operator, Singapore Sports Council and MOE

Registration:


Parent of student is required to fill in a Student Information Form for our records of their particulars, previous sport history,
medical conditions and any important information that parent think is essential for the Teaching Professional to know.
Role of Parents: Parent is required to sign the Guldeline by Singapore Ministry of Education and Singapore Sports Council.
Letter of Indemnity: Parent is required to sign the Letter of Indemnity for the Junior regular golf lesson.


Outfit for lesson:


Student is required to come in golf attire. Golf shoe (proper sport shoe is allowed), collar T-shirt and proper short or
pant.

Sport Environment safety requirement by Singapore Sports Council and Ministry of Education (MOE)

Student who is signing up for this programme is required to have a one time one-to-one 45 minutes golf assessment
lesson by the Teaching Professional. This lesson is for the student to learn: golf safety rules; lesson rules; the golf posture setup; how to hold the golf club; arm swing skill and experience the lesson's requirement.

We need the student to acknowledge that he or she will like to learn and play golf before joining the group lessons.
The fee for this one time one-to-one lesson is $120.00 per student.

Fee for regular weekends (Saturday and Sunday) junior group and one-to-one (individual) lesson:
Programme Fee; Cost of range practice balls; and Fee for usage of other training grounds.

Programme fee for
group lesson:

Fee for year 2023 junior group lesson is $240.00 per month for four (4) weekend lessons per student.
If there is five (5) weekend lessons in the month the programme fee is $300.00 per student.
Range balls for lesson:

When lesson is conducted at the sheltered range, student is required to purchase the practice range golf balls for their
golf swing technique practices. Currently the cost is $3.40 for 40 practice balls by Cash Card.

Fee for other training
ground usage:



When lesson is conducted at the putting, chipping and sandbunker training grounds, each student is required to pay a
$4.00 per hour fee to the MEGC office for the usage.

We will provide F.O.C. practice golf balls for putting, chipping and sandbunker lessons only.

Programme fee for
one-to-one lesson:

Fee for year 2023 is $480.00 per month for four (4) weekend lessons per student.
If there is five (5) weekends in the month the programme fee is $600.00 per student.

Fee for regular weekdays (Monday to Friday) junior group and one-to-one (individual) lesson:

Programme fee is non-refundable and non-transferable in any event that the participant could not complete the agreed lessons of the month.
Termination of lesson:

One month notice.

Asian Golf Centre will not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any personal injury, disability or loss of life in connection during the golf lesson/activity/events. This includes all costs, and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.
Change of Terms and conditions
Asian Golf Centre reserved the rights to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
